More About the Prehistory of the American Bottom: |
- For
a great basic introduction to the early cultures of the American
Bottom Region, visit the RiverWeb
site of the NSCA at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana
(UIUC).
- For
an in-depth look at the prehistory and archaeology of the area,
St. Louis Post-Dispatch reporters William Allen and John Carlton wrote
a wonderful five-part series last summer. For a link to this series,
visit the front page of the Cahokia
Mounds website. In addition, you will find a link to a similar article
done by US News and World Report.
