Learn More About the Prehistory of the American Bottom: 
  • For a great basic introduction to the early cultures of the American Bottom Region, visit the RiverWeb site of the NSCA at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana (UIUC).

  • For an in-depth look at the prehistory and archaeology of the area, St. Louis Post-Dispatch reporters William Allen and John Carlton wrote a wonderful five-part series last summer.
